Worked as a consultant for Brit + Co, developing web components and implementing store integration for their popular lifestyle blog platform.

Consulted for Brit + Co, a high-traffic lifestyle media site (millions of monthly readers), building reusable front-end components and wiring their blog into a storefront so editorial pages could sell products.

Highlights

  • Built reusable web components (product cards, embeds) for editorial pages
  • Integrated a third-party storefront/cart so products could be embedded directly in articles
  • Kept the components lightweight so they wouldn't slow down article page loads
  • Collaborated with design and product teams on component architecture

Technical Implementation

Built the components in JavaScript to drop into Brit + Co's existing blog CMS without disrupting their publishing workflow, and connected them to the new store back end.

Business Impact

This let editors place shoppable products inside articles, so readers could buy without leaving the post.

Platform Scale

Brit + Co's site sees heavy traffic, so components had to load reliably without dragging down page speed.
